Facebook top 10 followers?

you know those apps on facebook when you can see your top 5 followers, top 5 secret admirers, top best friends, etc.? how do they find out who makes it onto the list? does it depend on how much they look at your profile? cause some people on my top 5 admirers i don't even talk to...thanks in advance! :D
