Why do blacks think they are being held down by whites?

I am 26, white, and a male living in a southern state. I have never seen or heard of someone being discriminated against because of their race. I know it happened 50 years ago, but 60 years ago hitler killed 6 million jews and we are doing just fine. I am not trying to sound racist I just don't see it. There are black ceos, Oprah is one of the most influential people in america, and a black man is a serious contender for president. Please explain to me how you are being held down. I asked this question yesterday and only received response from people who agree with me. Please give me any example of how you are being held down. I am not talking about some one using the "n" word. You are not being held down by racist comments. I believe if anything it is black leaders like rev. Wright, rev. jesse jackson, and rev. al sharpton who instill a sense of victimism in your culture in order to fund their wealth.
