Moving out?

How do you muster up the courage to move out of your partner's home? How do you deal with the fear of making a mistake, regret, the idea of him being with someone else? Even though I know he won't change into what I'm looking for, it's so hard to leave. Anybody with the same experience? How did you get the courage to do it? Thanks.
