I was positive for chlamydia..and i have questions.?

Ok i went to the doctor && i was tested positive for chlamydia. I went to kroger & they gave azithromacin only 2 pills that were both 500 mm.Now i dont know how long ive had it or exactly who i got it from. But a couple weeks back i all of a sudden couldnt hold my bladder & it didnt burn but it hurt like something wasnt right.. Then about 4 days after i got on my birth control.. I had with my friend..(unprotected) & when i woke up my was swollen and tender to the touch. I got on ta internet & it said its normal and that it could be from too friction during if your small. Now that i know i have it the swelling went down but it itches now and it burns when i pee. I dont know if it all in my head now or what.Im goin to the clinic with my friend so he can get tested and treated. good thang hes understandable..you dont see a lot of people like that. I took tha two pills.. and it still burns & itches and i still cant hold my bladder. how long will it take for the med. to work?
