Jade superstitions?

i broke my lucky piece of jade in half yesterday... when it breaks it's supposed to fend away evil spirits... but if i break it and glue it back together is it still good or should i get a new one? and if there are anymore jade good/bad luck things someone could tell me.. that would be awesome... and are there any other things that are lucky? just wondering... i'm pretty superstitious in these subjects... so if someone could just answer me.. thanks!
