Please tell me what you think of this Prologue of a story I'm writing?

I like it. It's descriptive, and compelling. It's quite good, which is not something I normally say to people when they write something, even though I'm totally obsessed with books. Lots of people just forget about detail! I'd LOVE to read the whole story when you finish! Good luck!
